Taylor Swift mixed some Chiefs merch into her latest Reputation-coded ‘fit.
On December 10, Swift arrived at the Kansas City Chiefs’ home game against the Buffalo Bills at the Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri. She wore a leather miniskirt with her coolest piece of Chiefs merch yet: an oversized red and black crewneck with black lettering. She topped off the look with a long wool coat and knee-high stiletto boots, opting to wear her hair down with her newly favoured side-bang and signature red lip.
In a video shared by the NFL Network correspondent James Palmer, Taylor can be seen arriving as the Bills prepare to take the field — which is definitely a power move. “Imagine getting ready to play a game a football and you’re all ready and focused on your silly game and then Taylor f**king Swift walks by you,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “That would be all I would think about. I would lose the game so hard.”
Prior to the game, Taylor Swift spoke publicly about her relationship with Chiefs player Travis Kelce for the first time during her Time ‘Person of the Year’ interview, which was published on December 6. According to Swift, the relationship began shortly after Kelce called her out on TikTok in July, leaving them plenty of time to “get to know each other” before she attended that first Chiefs game in late September. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple,” she explained. “I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date.”
Swift also dismissed complaints about the amount of screen time she receives at Kelce’s games, saying, “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
Ultimately, Swift and Kelce are just trying to support one another. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Taylor said. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Though Kelce was recently able to attend his second Eras Tour performance, he’s going to get another chance to support Swift very soon. With the pop star’s 34th birthday coming up on December 13, a source tells Life & Style that the NFL player has taken on party planning duties. “He’s arranged a very intimate, romantic dinner just for the two of them,” the source said. “And is also trying to pull off a semi-surprise party with the help of some of her closest friends.”
Clearly, turning 34 is going to be a lot more fun for Taylor Swift than 21. Surely she already has an outfit picked out.
